Second Look
We will host an in-person Second Look in last January/early February. Please note that our rank list will be finalized prior to the Second Look event. We are offering a second look event to allow you more opportunity to get to know our program and make the most informed decision about the location of your future residency training. We believe that your decision and ability to attend a second look event should not impact your position on our rank list. Attendance at our second look event will have no impact on your position on our rank list, except for egregious lapses in professionalism, as defined in the AAMC Core Entrustable Professional Activities for Entering Residency, which may negatively impact your rank list position at the discretion of the program director.

International Medical Graduates
Applications are accepted only through ERAS and you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
- We accept non-U.S. citizen applicants only with ECFMG-sponsored J-1 visas for residency training at UT Southwestern. We do not sponsor or accept H-1B or O-1 visa applicants for residency training. Further information is available through UT Southwestern’s Office of International Affairs.
- You must be eligible for a post-graduate Training Permit from the State of Texas to train at UT Southwestern. Information is available from the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
