August 2025 Visa Bulletin

The U.S. Department of State has released the August 2025 Visa Bulletin, which outlines priority dates for green card applicants. A priority date determines an applicant’s place in the visa queue. When that date becomes "current," eligible applicants may file for adjustment of status (if in the U.S.) or apply for an immigrant visa abroad.

Each month, USCIS announces whether applicants in the U.S. should use the Final Action Dates or Dates for Filing chart. For August:

  • EB-1: Unchanged for all countries.
  • EB-2: Retrogressed by 1 month and 2 weeks for All Other Areas, Mexico, and the Philippines.
  • EB-3: India advanced by 1 month in both Skilled Worker and Other Worker categories.
  • EB-5: Significant movement—China advanced nearly 2 years, India by 6.5 months.
  • EB-4: Category has reached its limit and will remain unavailable until the next fiscal year.
